(Phoenix, AZ) — The Coalition of Blacks Against Breast Cancer (CBBC), will host a West Valley kick off and organizing meeting to celebrate their expansion to the West Valley, Sunday, February 9, 2020, 3 – 5 pm. The meeting takes place at the Antioch Church of God in Christ, 9600 W. Peoria Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345. CBBC is the only group in the Phoenix Metropolitan area focused specifically on African-American survivors and their supporters.
“For the past 10 years CBBC have served the Phoenix metropolitan area by providing a safe, supportive breast cancer monthly support group in downtown Phoenix,” said Michele Halyard, MD, co-founder of CBBC and Dean of the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine Arizona Campus. “It is now time to expand to take CBBC into other parts of the Valley to reach even more people who need our service.”
CBBC has improved the quality of life and knowledge of many throughout the Valley. Come and learn more about the organization, how it serves the health education and awareness needs of people of African-American and African descent, current treatments, and therapies and how you can get involved as a survivor, supporter, or volunteer.
